Historic Doll Clothes 1930s Frock fits American Girl Dolls | Etsy

This pretty 1930s-inspired frock is reminiscent of the flour sack dresses of that era and is perfect for Kit, Ruthie, or any of your 18 inch American Girl dolls. Made of coordinating cotton prints, it is meticulously sewn and just brimming with details (21 pattern pieces!) The shaped sleeves and bodice overlay are fashioned of a high quality quilter's cotton featuring tiny coral colored posies scattered on a purple background. The overlay and sleeves are self lined and edged with inserted handmade piping. Five tiny white buttons decorate the bodice front while two more embellish each sleeve. A dainty collar is set in at the neckline and a fabric bow ties at the back. The remainder of the dress is made of a quilter's cotton print showcasing purple, coral and white flowers tossed on a grass green background. The dress opens all the way down the back for ease of dressing and undressing and it closes with snaps. Inside seams are overlocked to provide neatness and durability. The skirt is lined to add body and to prevent show-through. A coordinating hair bow on an alligator clip is included. This dress is detailed enough to satisfy the collector but is durable enough for play. It is adapted from a pattern designed by Eve Coleman of Keepers Dolly Duds. Like all of my garments, this dress has been made with care and attention to detail in a smoke- and pet-free environment. It is recommended for ages three and up. Doll and shoes are not included. *It is my policy to refund postage overpayments of $1.00 or more.
